Welcome to Street Light Halo

Hi. My name is Angel and I'm an alcoholic/ addict. I am in recovery and am 27 years sober as of November 16, 2017. I know exactly how it feels to be in trouble, how it feels to think that you are all alone with no place to turn. The term we use in AA is “incomprehensible demoralization,” and if you've ever felt that way you will understand that term completely without any definition at all. If you do understand that term know this; I am here to help. There are rooms, organizations and about a billion other people that are also here to help. Between all of us, I'm pretty sure we can find the tools to help you.

I'm going out on a limb here and guessing that you are here because you're in some kind of trouble or because you know someone who is. If that trouble includes feelings of hopelessness, isolation or just plain “back against the wall” kind of desperation, then let me tell you, you've come to the right place.

Ain't no sinners here, let me tell you. Ain't no saints either. Nobody's standing here waiting to rebuke you or stand in judgment because none of that is helpful. In this world, as I see it at least, there are a zillion people and all of us are at different levels of emotional, mental, physical and spiritual evolution. If we extend our hands to receive help we are also extending our hands to give help. That's why in my world.... everyone has a halo under the street light.
